If you really think about ‘Dressed Cleverly’, we are actually reusing what we have already as a shell and within that shell and reviving it to function. We can then bring that forward to the benefit of the client for a lower level of investment and make the best of the funds and the space through conscious decision making.
The restaurant industry has struggled in the last three or four years in terms of units failing.
What we do is take what was a former Jamie Oliver’s or something similar, where a business has gone into liquidation or administration, we can actually put a new client into that unit and dress it cleverly.
By ‘Dressing Cleverly’ it doesn’t say I am walking into a “Jamie’s”, it says I am walking into what my new client is. What we are doing is refinishing the touch points. These might change for the client in terms of their customers and where they’re at. What we are actually doing is reusing that structure, which is behind that but also in terms of reduced impact to the area and the client.
It becomes a different restaurant and potentially, a different part of the market for our clients that have actually gone into these units from what was there before. Ultimately, what we are doing is redressing and refinishing. We are actually providing a different experience but consciously saving that structure and the infrastructure behind that, to the best use and best value for our clients.
Examples of how we’ve dressed cleverly is where we’ve worked over the years with people like Carluccios or Cafe Nero. And what we’ve actually done is we’ve picked up that structure and we’ve looked at the services and the infrastructure that are in there and what we’ve redone is we’ve redressed that restaurant in terms of its finishes and touch points.
This results in a lower level of investment for the client.
Reusing the existing infrastructure for a lower impact on resources and the environment whilst maintaining high standards. This is ‘Dressing Cleverly’.
