The culture of Julian Church and Associates has grown over the years since we first started the business, back in 2001.
We have a real mix that enables staff to work flexible hours. As the owner, I work full time and have done since the start but as I’ve mentioned in an earlier blog, I have still been able to be at home and see my children and give them the support they needed as they grew.
We employ a diverse set of employees and I have people that have worked part-time for me very successfully over the years. It’s important to be able to that level of flexibility as it creates a happy working environment.
Here, at Julian Church and Associates, one of our staff has ten weeks of holiday a year. She has younger children, they’ve grown a little bit now, but having children of school age, she needed to have all the school holidays off. For us as a company, that was no issue, we like that to come through and we work with our staff to accommodate them and the business, providing a harmonious environment.
Other people like working at home. What we’ve seen in the last two or three years, especially during the pandemic, is that we’ve actually managed to develop that working from home environment. I’ve also got people that prefer working at home rather than travelling into the office.
The technology is there to support these choices and we like to think that, as a family-centric business, we can offer that quality and level of support to ensure our staff feel they are trusted and enabled so they have the opportunity to really show our clients our best value.
I have people working for Julian Church and Associates, who are based in Manchester for half their working life. While they’re there, we use them to do some of our Northern work primarily, which gives them that base up in Manchester. It’s all about creating that level of flexibility and the instillment of trust between ourselves, our staff and our clients, who are based within the UK and Europe.
We like making sure our staff are supported wherever they choose to work from. As a responsible company, it’s about ensuring they get the support that they need.
Our staff are our biggest assets, happy staff, happy clients, happy life!
We want our staff to feel empowered.
We want our staff to feel enabled and trusted and with that, they can then go and actually dictate that and provide that to the clients that we work with.
What we’re overall looking to do is actually make sure that our clients get the best possible service and our staff are vital in delivering that.
That’s why we want you to feel comfortable when you work for Julian Church and Associates.
