Community Centre, Barcombe, East Sussex
Project: Versatile community building incorporating a range of sustainable technologies including geo thermal, solar thermal, green roof and grey water systems. Much of the design influenced by the intermittent use of the building, typical of a village hall. Two key requirements being rapid response for climate control and low maintenance.
Built to accommodate a wide variety of activities and functions and can seat 120 people around tables. The main hall and stage can be used as a single split-level single room or as two separate function rooms.
